I Built a Blog and Forgot to Write

I always did this on all my projects. Until I switched my approach and forced myself to do it the other way around: do the thing first and improve the workflow late. Better to do something annoying one time too often before improving the workflow, than to only improve the workflow and not do the thing.

I'm still a little worried that I'll stop posting on my blog soon, but it's actually been going better than expected. Rooting for Ben to keep posting.

I did the same thing. I put a lot of effort into building the blog (with Nikola) and various tools but mostly it's just an archive of my Mastodon account (I did have fun writing the Python script to do it.) I have a few rambling "long form" posts but I go weeks at a time without adding to it. I have a projects page without projects because I never finish my projects. I'm currently playing with tkinter and trying to write more tools to make posting and managing links easier - and then that is probably what I'm going to post about.

I used to write all the time - I used to blog all the time, it's difficult to get back in to. But there's also no rush. Just doing something human in a dehumanizing world is enough.

I wish you luck.
