Not to start a war, I enjoy my Vim setup, because these days there's almost no friction between my thoughts and capturing the output in Vim. I have multiple machines, and for a few years I've been using git and github to sync data.

I also do other things like edit videos, which don't back up well in git.

So I decided to solve this problem, and built a little utility called byteferret. Its a peer-to-peer sync utility, using syncthing under the hood, and has done a great job at syncing folders between my computers.

You can check it out and use it for free. It works on linux and mac.
