That was basically my point. The choice probably was already made by the nomination, and the senate had no way to demonstrate that they would also confirm for other reasons as well.

If by miracle Democrats return to power, they might get around to asking these judges and they'll enthusiastically say "Of course Biden won 2020! Can I get my paycheck now?"...
