Show HN: Interspectr – automated interview prep generated from a job posting

https://interspectr.com/
2•ShinApekusay•1h ago
I was always having this anxious feeling before the interview about not getting the job. Because of that, I tended to try to prep as much as I could to at least pass the first round of interview. However, interview prep research took time and was mostly the same thing: figure out what the company's dealing with, work out what the role is actually screening for, then write questions against that. When you have 2 or 3 interview invitations, you may need to spend quite some time to properly research your future employers.

This is why I built Interspectr, to automate the research and data compiling so I didn't have to do the same digging every time. Just by copy pasting the job title, company, and location from a job posting, it does online research to find the most recent company context, and generates likely questions across behavioural, technical, and company-specific categories. You can answer them and get feedback on structure. On top of that, it also suggests what questions to ask the interviewer. Finally, you can export everything to PDF/DOCX and bring it with you.

Disclaimer: the questions are predictions from the posting and public info, not reported interview questions.

Stack is React/Vite, Express, Firestore, Gemini, on Cloud Run. Free tier available, $4.99/mo beyond that. Feel free to check on the demo at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zHXSFPKBAPA.

So far it has helped 40 plus people, hoping to help more. Thanks for reading.
