Hi - author of the article here. This is the bot I built that's now running my company's engineering. What's surprising is that going fully automated flopped. But backing things down just a smidge (to what I call a "kernel" of human interaction) made things oh so smooth. Would love to hear from folks trying similar things on "real" products with lots of nuance and competing goals.
