Hi HN,
I built CheckMate after I was diagnosed with ADHD recently, and it made me rethink what I actually wanted from one of these apps.
CheckMate turns habits into quests. You earn XP for completing them, and you can invite friends into co-op raids where everyone’s check-ins damage a boss or grow something together. You can add your friends and they can cheer you on if you check in a quest.
I did not want for users to feel the pressure of streaks so I don t have those, it only counts up when you return you are greeted with a welcome message. The progress you already made stays there. There is no HP loss or reset waiting when you return.
I’m building it on my own with Expo, React Native, SQLite, Supabase, and Realtime. It is available on iOS and Android. And I have been iterating on it for about 100 days since launch. You can track all the changes made in the website. There are also shared focus sessions and a private journal with trends, I wanted the app to be able to accommodate all my needs.
It does require an account because of the multiplayer features. I’d especially like feedback on whether the raids feel motivating or whether they introduce another kind of pressure.
