Show HN: CoFoundMe – I gamified finding collaborators for your project/startup

https://cofoundme.app
4•Oreki20•43m ago
Hi guys I know ur time is valuable so I will keep this short. Ever since I was in uni I saw that its been difficult for people finding collaborators for your project/startup. Building something is easier than ever but finding collaborators has never been more difficult. so I interviewed 1083 users (yea i know thats a lot but i needed some validation hehe). Half of them did not hear about yc cofounder matching and other platforms and the ones who were using them still found it quite painful and exhausting and they got no one from there. I found that in most cases for my users the only way to network is to send a post or cold dm (90% of people dont even open their dms) and if u do post abt it , the post reaches everyone (ur friends, ur family, ur boss) which means it reaches no one. So I built a prototype (it was very bad) and the next thing I know there are 1027 users on the app and 394 collaborations made bahahahahahahahahha. The users loved the idea but also had some feedback which I tried to implement. So I am launching it here to gain some more valuable feedback from yall and improve the product. I built this myself so if you have any questions about anything the interviews, the users , any bugs please comment , yall can even roast me hehe. Thank you for your time, this came out to be pretty long I am sorry for that.

Swiping seems like a terrible way to find someone. Why not just have search and filters?
Oreki20•17m ago
What I found out from users was that the whole process to find collaborators is very exhausting and time consuming. The whole idea is to make that process less exhausting and much better. It kinda makes the first step for collaboration much easier
aradhyakere•7m ago
Hmmm...finding a collaborator isn't just matching but goes deeper than that.
Oreki20•5m ago
Yea apparently the users on the initial prototype had their opinions on that as well so in this version once you connect U get a workspace where u can set up tasks, deadlines, log your decisions and execute together instead of just connecting
