We've been working on AI-driven diagramming for the last few years and have seen the development from DSL-based (Mermaid et al) to lower level primitives (direct-to-SVG and similar). We've just open sourced an end-to-end framework for generating diagrams.
Key features:
- A diagram is defined as JSON
- The visual layer is HTML, using <template> and CSS to control per-component rendering and styling
- Bring-your-chromium for PNG generation on your computer, CI machine, API box, etc
- The component layer is completely customizable! You can define your own schemas and templates as long as they conform to the protocol.
