I love Google Earth and SpaceEngine, but I’ve always wanted an Earth viewer that looked more like what you’d actually see with your own eyes. That’s what I’m trying to do with Optical Earth.
It has full HDR support, so the Earth can actually look bright against the black of space instead of everything being flattened to the same brightness. I’m still working on some things like auroras, but it’s far enough along that I wanted to share!
