Show HN: Save Claude, codex, Grok and OpenCode sessions to an infinite canvas

https://agentgrid.sh/
1•yagudaev•1h ago
Hi HN, I’m Michael, I built AgentGrid with my friend Souren because we were tired of losing our coding sessions and couldn't keep track of what was actually being built across our many projects.

Our approach was to use an infinite canvas desktop app for the TUIs we already know and love, mainly claude + codex. We drew inspiration from Figma and Railway. Overtime we added image nodes, notes, terminals, coding editors, source control, etc.

I wasn't sure about it at first. It took me a month to give the first version Souren built a real try. What got me was an Apple System Update I've been ignoring for weeks to avoid losing my +20 open claude code tabs in warp.

In the course of using it and contributing, I broke it a few times and had to go back to the way we were doing things. It was miserable. It's been a few months now and I can't imagine going back.

Most of you are builders and this tool should be really helpful. So I'd love for you to give it a spin.

I would love your honest opinion.

For the rest of the discussion, I would love to focus on the question of what is the right UI for agentic engineering?

I would argue IDE is too much in the way, TUI is a terrible DX with a lot of hacks just for basic features. Finally, a GUI chat interface is far better but lacks the dimension of seeing the connection between items and is a poor collaboration surface. Now infinite canvas has a sprawl problem too,

What do you think?
