Burnout, Loneliness, and Why High-Earning Tech Pros Fail at Life Management

5•YuriiWoods•1h ago
It seems like everything is fine: money is there, work is there. Something missing? I often hear about burnout in this crowd. The reason, as banal as it sounds, is that these people have nothing in their lives except work. The brain stops seeing the point in the process because life doesn't change based on the effort you put in. You're sitting and coding just like you were a year ago. Nothing to remember, no relationships, health is falling apart. The main problem with IT specialists is their ego. They transfer their competence from one narrow field to all of life and can't admit to themselves that they don't know something. As a former martial arts coach, I'll say it straight: you won't learn anything new until you admit your own incompetence in the matter. Instead of saving your ego, it's worth making an adult decision and trying to develop your lagging areas. Fortunately, you have the financial means to do so. If anyone is interested in trying to change their life and develop "soft" areas—I can offer a consultation. I'm not another Instagram "life coach," I'm a tech guy from the world of sports and rehabilitation. I speak in terms you understand and explain contextual things in plain language. You've already tried to solve your problems with the background you have—maybe it's worth turning to someone with a different kind of experience to learn from it? Here is my contact email: yuriipolishchuk96@gmail.com Nobody is going to demand money from you for saying "hey, I feel like shit." Glad to hear from you.

Now that you mention it, that's me right now! It's becoming second nature, but I am looking to make it, so I'm spending all my time and finances on my ideas, and I'm self-employed.At least I'm one of those that enjoy my craft as well and prefer to use it to sustain myself. Now that I'm working on the technical side of my ideas in my business - I am not sleeping, too excited to see a rise in stats that I almost forgot that I'm still human! Eat, take a break! Hahaha, very funny! I miss someone next to me, with same ideas, but at this stage, I'll probably stand for both for now. In the long run, I do believe that my heart will breath on that part of my life again once I've achieved that success, not wealth!, just success, and security. One day is one day!

Everything has a KPI, everything is gamified, and everything becomes a competition because that's how life is at work for tech pros.
