Show HN: Notificator – Send website events to push, email, MQTT and hardware

I started building Notificator because I had the idea of creating a physical device that could sit on my desk and let me know when something important happened across my own websites and my clients' websites, without constantly checking dashboards or relying on a bunch of different services.

That idea gradually grew into a much broader open-source project. Notificator now supports WordPress, Strapi and Node.js, and events can be delivered as mobile push notifications, email alerts or MQTT messages, as well as to the physical Notificator devices.

The hardware is based around ESP32 devices and is completely optional — you can use Notificator without owning one. The firmware is open source as well, so it's also possible to build your own device.

I've built and shipped tens of these devices for free to early users, which has been a fun way to test the project outside my own setup and get it into the hands of real users. I also had the chance to present the project at WordCamp Athens 2025 and get feedback from the Greek WordPress community.

The project is free to use and open source. It's still very much a work in progress, and there's a lot I want to improve and build from here.

Any comments, feedback, criticism or ideas are very welcome — whether they're about the architecture, developer experience, hardware, documentation, integrations, or anything else you think could make the project better.

Thanks for taking a look!
