They were an agency in the medtech sector, making 7 figures a year. They needed an invoicing solution that wasn't rigid. And they found us.
And they subscribed. Despite us being in very very early stages.
They put up with the problems with the system in the early days, and patiently provided constructive feedback. And we responded fast with fixes and new features, to keep them happy.
They stuck with us for almost 4 years. And now they have to leave us because they have been acquired.
They didn't just unsubscribe. The founder even emailed me personally to let me know that they have to unsubscribe. Explaining the circumstances. And thanking us for being a joy to work with.
Running a SaaS means dealing with faceless customers. And usually you only hear from them when there is a complaint. It can suck the energy from your soul.
But just one kind customer can help restore the energy. And restore the drive. Especially for solo or small startups like us.
And it has inspired me to be kind to other founders too, when using, or leaving, their products. We are all humans just trying to build a better life for ourselves.
Being kind to each other, even in business, even when there is no reason to, is one of the best things we can do to each other as entrepreneurs.
