So the story goes: an Irishman arrives in Australia at Sydney International Airport and heads over to Passport Control. The customs official asks him a list of routine questions: name? date of birth? country of origin? purpose for visit?

Then the official asks: sir, do you have a criminal record? And the Irishman responds, "No! I didn't realise that one is still required here!"
