Let see do I spend months writing and debuging my Tax software or do I pay a company 50 bux for them to write and maintain it? I pick the 50 bux every time. Also, I also think that AI will create more SaaS services as more niche services come online because AI makes it easier to create software.

Prices will need to go down or the amount of value one gets from the service will need to go up but SaaS will continue.
