Show HN: I built a menu-bar app to give Claude access to your Apple macOS apps

Backstory: I was hunting for a job, and in lots of processes. I found myself reaching for Claude to pull it all together in a summary.

I wanted it to use my e-mail, calendar and notes, and I happen to be an Apple fan-boy, so use their native apps.

I quickly realised that Claude Desktop had no native connection to these apps (it has some on iOS, but not MacOS) and the only solution seemed to be stitching together various "extension" MCP's I found on GitHub. Some stale, some didn't offer the tools I needed.

I then thought of someone who is non-technical, they'd have no chance... so I built Pomeroy.

Pomeroy is a simple MacOS menu-bar app that exposes a local-only MCP, giving Claude access to your native MacOS apps like mail, contacts, calendar and iMessage.

There's no remote server, and no access to any data in any way. I plan to expand it to other apps, capabilities and AI tools too.

It's free for 50 actions per week (a generous tier), or $19 for a lifetime, unlimited set of actions.

For the launch, I am giving $10 off this, using the LAUNCH code. Give it a try and see what you think, feedback welcome!
