Well, of course they'd say stuff like that. They've made an extremely large bet and absolutely have to make it pay off, no matter what that does to the rest of us.

So far, all I've seen from these companies and tools is that they're making everything worse on every front. Even these guys who are making these absolutist proclamations can only justify them by vaguely saying "it will make things better someday".

They're just cheerleading what they imagine will be, and ignore the real problems these tools are causing right now.

We can't just pay attention to theoretical future benefits. We have to pay attention to the costs as well. The cost/benefit ratio is all that matters, and right now, it's decidedly not favorable.
