I am hard pressed to understand why you think we have a say over the future at all if we had none to begin with
I am an engineer with 30 years experience in EE, software, farming even longer, have rebuilt cars. Currently involved in a legal case with an opposition lawyer who is dumb af. Even the judge has shaken her head in disbelief at their ignorance of anything but the letter of the law.
And this lawyer has the ability to screw peoples lives over.
Now consider most people are dumber than that. Hard pressed to see where progress is going to come from
Depends on the 100 million; Boomers and GenX roughly make up that number and the Boomer half is already half dead. Millennials on down make up the rest of the 300 million. It won't be a clean break along generational lines due to generational family bonds but Musk and Thiel, most of the other well known CEOs are among the older 100 million. And they do not have the allegiance of most of the other 200 million who will just cement them in their bunker if they make it
They’re the richest people in history. Did society not work spectacularly for them - why are they obsessed with burning it to the ground?
