More interesting than the Gates angle is the original story linked at the bottom where Oracle was found to have hired private investigators that attempted to acquire the trash of a lobbying group funded by Microsoft in an attempt to dig up dirt. Sounds like something out of a bad novel but it actually happened, at Larry Ellison's behest or at least Oracle's.
