We're finally launching Votito, after about a year of development, as it's now (almost) polished enough for other people to use. I'd love your feedback!
AI tools make software faster to write, so the constraint is no longer building things. It is knowing which things deserve to be built. Votito aims to be a "product decision platform" to help figure that out.
Having previously built two relatively successful SaaS products, we've spent a ton of time figuring out what users need, collecting feedback and trying to turn signals from the user community into actionable ideas, using a bunch of disconnected tools and half-baked scripts. We've consolidated those internal tools and processes into an online idea management system, combining user feedback with product research, so product teams can engage their users easily.
Votito is not trying to compete with task management tools like Jira and Linear, but to work in the area before the backlog, in the "weak commitment" zone where unstructured proposals need to mature to become implementable ideas. Throw random stakeholder demands, user suggestions and feature requests into Votito and let them marinate until they become something useful, if they ever do. Votito will help you spot the gems that deserve your attention. It will also stop garbage from going into your actual task tracking tools, and prevent people from being overwhelmed with managing bad ideas.
While the product is naturally oriented towards PMs, we're betting on the trend that teams are becoming smaller with AI support, and that people inside delivery teams will need to take on most traditional product responsibilities in the future. The Wall Street Journal recently reported on the trend of "pods" of 3-4 people augmented with AI agents taking on the tasks that previously needed much larger groups. When teams have 10-15 people, companies can justify assigning a dedicated product person. But with 3-4 people per pod, this is just not feasible. GitHub's research from December 2025 found that developers will increasingly need to think at the level of "understanding user needs".
One of our goals is to put proven product methods and tools into the hands of people who are not traditional product managers, making it easy to discover and apply the right tools and, crucially, to understand the results.
Here are 5 ways Votito can help you decide what to build next:
- Collect evidence with ideas to help you prove that things are worth building. Evidence can be as simple as a list of interested customers, external documents such as market research, or something as complex as the result of an A/B test.
- Score ideas automatically based on impact, effort and evidence. We provide two popular confidence models out of the box to help you get started.
- Engage users or stakeholders to vote on ideas for additional confidence signals.
- Keep the community engaged. Let people propose new ideas directly in Votito, comment and vote on other people's proposals. Publishing a roadmap of ideas you've accepted into development, and a changelog of features you delivered recently.
- Conduct deep research with proven product management surveys. Feature requests are pointers that something is interesting, but they are rarely complete information, or even the best solutions for the problem. Votito allows you to easily run online surveys with people who voted on a proposal. We provide a collection of ready-made templates for major product management research tasks. You could, of course, set up a similar survey on another platform, but the difference is that we'll help you interpret the data, showing the best ways to score domain-specific surveys and evaluate statistical significance.
The free version includes pretty much everything you need to run all the things mentioned above, with data retention of up to six months.
