You don’t wanna be famous this way.
- It signals self-importance and moral superiority - nobody likes those people. - You sound like those Rapture people who re-announce “the end of the world” every 6-12 months. - Your message is very information-light, raises more questions than it answers. Carries about the same amount of information as “the end is nigh”. - You have no receipts. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and even your claims are par-baked. - If you are worried about POTUS, USG, etc. We all know. We already have nukes etc. We have North Korea, Russia, also with nukes. - It’s perceived as dishonesty and/or a mental health issue. - You are probably imagining you are the superhero in those movies that isn’t taken seriously at first, but other movies feature a religious zealot that isn’t taken seriously at first. A lot of us see the latter. - This display of zealotry is scary for the rest of us. I am worried that your beliefs are about to legitimize doing “bad things for good reasons” e.g. the Stop AI activist Sam Kirchner. You should probably worry too.
I believe this is an anonymous quote (please correct me if I am wrong) that fits:
Don’t believe everything you think.
