This feels like "one dev had a problem, one time, and only with their specific context ... but they generalized it to all AI users, then over-engineered a giant solution to it".

For the record, I've been using Claude for most of this year. It has done a lot of stupid shit, including doing the opposite of clear/direct commands I JUST gave it ...

... but I can't remember it ever telling me "You have two instances of bug X" when there were five instances.
