I am a senior programmer with 23 years experience. I brought AI and my skills to a Men's Health Dr. and worked closely with the Dr at a low salary. The Men's Health Dr. talked me into working with him and teaching him vibe coding, always ensuring me that "I am not working myself out of a job". With 23 years of experience I developed an advanced system for the Dr and his team, that was being used daily. As soon as the Dr. became fully invested in the EHR system's success and it's automated systems he worked me out of my full time salary position and belittled me in many ways. The Dr. started discrediting me and also acted as if new work by the Dr. which was only small UI/UX work had placed him above his senior developer and as if the senior developer had no value. The Dr. lied and manipulated the senior developer and took his job then left him with no income. The Dr has every right to make a deal with a senior developer and plan something like this but the Dr. should have never lied and manipulated the developer. This is a fair warning to others what the rich will do. They will use you and throw you away. Never trust them and always keep your skills and knowledge close because it can and will be used against you and it will not be appreciated. Always get the best rate you can do not help them out because they will not help you out. This is not a clear reflection of all rich but it is a fair warning. I should have known better right?
