This started as a little tool for memory leaks on our own java servers and kinda grew from there, it was meant to replace MAT for us, to be faster, and work well for Linux/Windows.
you give it a heap dump and it tells you what's actually holding the memory, basically how Eclipse MAT works and JProfiler, it's CLI-based, so there's nothing much for the GUI, it's just meant to be fast.
a 1GB dump takes about 2 seconds on 8 cores. it's written in rust and MIT licensed.
