in my experience, AI is not that great at coming up with new ideas from scratch, it is very good at connecting things together that we miss out on, if an "ideas guy" uses it to brainstorm, it will only up his game.

I subscribe to a newsletter that tells me about new Kickstarters. The vast majority are either terrible ideas or things that have been done to death already. I don’t know that the world needs more multitools or pocket knives, but people keep making new ones.

That taught me that a lot of people either have bad ideas or have no ability to come up with ideas that are original. And a lot of people are just trying to make fast money.
