Reddit blocks all search engines except Google. You have to log in to use Old Reddit. Actually, you cannot access Old Reddit with a new account. You cannot use RSS feeds anymore. You cannot use the Wayback Machine anymore. If you're on a VPN or a public WiFi, you cannot use New Reddit while being logged out either.
And despite all of these annoyances imposed on their own users, who made the content and tirelessly maintain it, it still costs fractions of a penny to scrape Reddit on Bright Data et al.
