Opus 5.5 built my personal site. What it got right and wrong

I built the first version by hand in 2024. It was a resume-style page with my work experience, and I later added two tabs, Timeline and Photo Wall manually (lol). After that it sat unfinished because I couldn't fit it around school, work and other passion projects.

Later this year I picked it back up with several Claude agent sessions running in parallel in Herdr. Opus 5.5 wrote the code for the font picker, the reading column and its scroll animations, the themes (ported from Omarchy's quattro branch), and other customization features. It also fixed the left index panel, where the highlight wasn't following the buttons. The way the reading column slides right, centers and slides left was Claude's idea too. It coined it perfectly. I handled design direction and aesthetics throughout.

Things you should try: the font picker, the reading column, themes (T), wallpaper (W), and the photo wall. The backs of five photos spell out the opening line of Anna Karenina. Enter flips a photo and the arrow keys move it.

What it got wrong: when I asked for one fix, it often changed two or three things. They were improvements here, but on anything that matters I'd review every diff. Claude introduced the index panel bug, but after two hours it fixed it itself. But hell, it burned too many tokens. It did everything I asked on this project, but it's a static personal site, so the stakes were low.

Feedback I'd like: does the index panel help or get in the way? Does anything break on your phone or browser?
