Should AI pay taxes? The debate is gaining traction in the US

Please, for the love of god, can we not grant them "personhood" like corporations? (because that's going so well for us)

Can we pause and pace our reactionary tendencies? All these claims of massive job losses do not appear in the jobs data, always soon (tm). But if we look at long-term productive gains, Ai is falling in line with the 2% annual average. Given that the claims are not materializing (yet), we have some time to think this through step by step.

AI companies should.
AlisaYoki•19m ago
What do you mean by “AI”? Artificial intelligence is a program, a program cannot pay taxes for itself—that’s against the rules. But companies that create AI and those that use AI must pay taxes. Like, they’re just like any other companies — why should they be somehow separated from them? :) And it seems that AI companies are earning enough to support the country’s budget quite well through taxes, providing citizens with better conditions — all for the greater good :)
