After ~2 years in the making (we started back in the non-ai era) we've decided to open source our Docker-based Engine. So far, we've used it as a back-end environment for WordPress sites and we have been distributing it through web hosting providers and larger agencies. It's been tested on a few thousand sites already.
Now people are vibe coding, using AI for everything and building agentic workflows, while at the same time open source projects are getting through a reinassaince. So, not only we have open-sourced it ourselves, but we've also expanded it to support any web application and tested it against over a thousand repositories (and soon will be much more).
You can use it with MCP, API or CLI to: - deploy projects from files or git - get a preview URL or use your own domain with automatic SSL - restrict access with a password - get built-in monitoring and visitor stats (no need for Google Analytics) - manage databases, SFTP/FTP, CRON, firewall rules - read through logs and debug - create or restore backups (locally or remotely via S3/FTP) - connect with Cloudflare (for tunnels and DNS) ... and much more (see docs).
You install it with one command (you can also define a repo to be installed together with it) and then with another command connect your AI with it. Done. Your agent gets a hosting environment on your server without unrestricted root SSH access. You can even define its permissions.
Our early users have asked us about the visual/panel - it will be available soon too (and also open source).
Feel free to roast, we're open for feedback!
