As someone who doesn't use Windows (at home, atleast) -- I could just say "Not my problem" and move on.

Regardless, existing Windows users should be given the OPTION to turn these features on or not. To the more optimistic user, I can understand wanting this enabled for a new Windows install, but to turn on an existing install which already have a lot of software installed (lots of files) seems overkill. Honestly I would not be surprised if new "AI Features" on Windows just show and and ENABLED BY DEFAULT.

I am not Anti-AI - but the user should have the choice.

The main problem I have is buying an OS... software... and Microsoft pushes the claim owning the whole Laptop/Desktop. It's wrong!

Remind me of an old film named Bicentennial Man. There was a scene where the owner took his Robot (Robbin Williams) to the Company for discussion. The robot was unique and acts like a human. The Company owner, however, wanted to bring him in for "investigation" as he was concerned this robot would ruin his business.

The owner took his robot, as its his property, and left.

In 2026, if that was Microsoft, would call in security claiming you only have the right to use it. They would snatch that product away from you and you would stand no chance in a legal battle.

This comes down to the main problem... BUYING does not equal OWNING in the digital world. I reject it.
