I daily-drive Fedora 43 KDE for almost one year and there's no coming back on Windows env. For one soft. dev. student, a really interesting OS especially with KDE (better for transition and first time seeing GNU/Linux). When you deep-dive, Terminal is your best friend (I do full git manip via terminal but don't know how to create a branch from IDE hahaha)

Kind of same here, but on the default Gnome experience. It's just there, out of the way, allowing me to some trivial file operations and running software. The fact it can't really be customized is a huge time saver, as I won't waste time making the colors just right.
And same with git - I wouldn't know how to create a branch from within Visual Studio Code without asking co-pilot.

I've run MX Linux/Xfce for a while now and love it.
Mint was a good portal into Linux from Windows but that didn't last very long.
Nowadays, there is no reason to return to Windows, unless you have a masochistic kind of mentality.
