If only we could have seen it coming

How could we have possibly known

There was no AI to tell us what to expect

“If we could all rewind … we would have introduced [this] in a more thoughtful, slow way.”

Everyone in management who pushed AI so heavily, cost people their jobs, and reduced quality across the board, should be fired immediately. They exposed themselves as being unprofessional and low skilled. I want to see heads roll and careers end.

My own company had an all-hands at the start of the year where the CEO and his newly-hired AI guru told everyone if they wanted to keep their jobs, and be employable in any way in the future, we all had to heavily embrace AI.

Fast-forward to now. Our SAAS product has not only seen any improvement, but has noticeably deteriorated in quality to the point we have lost major customers. Bugs and errors are a daily issue now. God only knows how much money they wasted on AI. The CFO is trimming spending like a madman trying to recoup from it all.

It was clear from the start that AI was a scam. It couldn’t back up its claims. It was nowhere near the quality needed. FOMO exposed our management as useless.

My personal pet peeve is receiving AI generated emails and project plans from people who decided to take zero time doing the work for themselves. They rarely even proofread what was generated before sending, so the documents are borderline nonsensical. To me, that’s a firing offense. Why are we paying you?
