I'm excited to share that I built AlbertCode, a free AI software engineering agent that I developed to help make software development easier, flexible, and accessible for everyone.
AlbertCode helps developers build apps, write code, and automate software engineering workflows using AI.
AlbertCode supports multiple AI providers, including running local models via Ollama. This means developers can choose which models they want to use and bring their own API keys. They aren’t locked into just using one provider.
AlbertCode is completely free to use. (The software itself is not open source, but you can run third-party AI providers that may charge for API usage.)
My goal is to continue developing AlbertCode to allow more people to experience what’s possible with AI-powered software development. Whether you’re a developer, an independent builder, or a startup with an idea - I want you to have the flexibility to go from idea to a functioning app.
The app is always a work in progress, and I’m constantly making improvements to make things even more powerful, reliable, and user-friendly.
