CxxDox does not depend on Doxygen as it performs parsing using libClang (bundled in .whl for Windows and Linux).
100% doxygen compatibility was not a goal, but it has enough features to serve as the documentation engine for a large C++ library, such as KFR.
An example of the generated documentation is live at
https://docs.kfr.dev/_gen/Supports:
C++ and C, with all modern standards (thanks to Clang 21).
Generation of symbol pages under any path prefix.
Groups, global and per-type indexes.
Easy links to C++ symbols in any .md page.
Testable snippets.
Works best with mkdocs-material.
The plugin is created and maintained by the author of KFR, a C++20 DSP library.
