I don't know if this page explains why the product exists

Right so... I've built this product and page and I don't know if it explains why it exists clearly.

I've been developing with AI pretty much since it came out. The problem with coding with AI is that you inevitably get to a point where you just feel like throwing your codebase in the trash and starting over.

The AI stays stuck spending tokens on a bug it created itself. I know mine has.

So I came up with this idea: build a codebase that already has everything I need built in (so essentially a good boilerplate or starting position with auth, payments, a complete ui library, the works) but also built-in rules for the AI so it doesn't drift. This is the really important thing: rules like "There's only one way of doing something in this codebase" and "Rely on TypeScript type inference whenever possible, but fully type objects across boundaries (network, localStorage, user input, etc); never use `:any`". So, good practices for coding so I'm proud of the code it actually outputs, but also guidance on the architecture and on how to manage its own internal AI memory system. That memory tells it what to read before it plans, what architecture not to change later, and how to manage the memory itself. Plus tools (control Chrome, connect to Higgsfield, etc), skills (SEO, AEO, UI, design, marketing, writing, etc), guides (one-off guides for your AI to set things up when you need to — Resend, Sentry, Google Analytics, etc), the works.

I've been building websites and applications on top of it for a year now. I have yet to get to the place where I want to throw the codebase in the trash and start over. Every now and then I find a pattern I don't like. I remember the AI deciding on a third-party SDK for a service that was actually quite basic, bloating the codebase, and I switched it back to a simple API call and wrote a rule about it. It never made that mistake again — it now weights the cost-benefit of adding an SDK (some are actually useful, like Stripe's one).

The product is called Durabl. One payment of 349€. No free tier. The page is https://durabl.dev

If you read that page cold, what did you think this was?

I've also recorded a video about it, if that's useful: https://youtu.be/yqNSnSv4R9I

Keep on building
