I built Sailfish, the open-source alternative to Arc. After The Browser Company announced that they’d be sunsetting Arc, I was disappointed because of three problems:
1. There was no macOS alternative that brought the same feel for search that Arc did.
2. There was no iOS alternative on the market for search besides the biggest players.
3. The Browser Company wasn’t releasing the source code to the public.
So, I built it from the ground up myself and made the source code public.
The best part about Arc was never the UI/UX but was the innovative features the Browser Company would introduce. I would love your guys’ feedback + input to make it better!
Sailfish’s goal is to be the best browsing experience for everyone, on all devices.
