Ask HN: Anyone working in Intellingent Doc Processing (IDP)? What do you do?

3•akudha•50m ago
Just curious - what does your day-to-day look like? What kinds of documents do you process, what tools do you use? Do you enjoy it?

Trying again, as the first time didn’t get any response :(

A response to this question might have national security implications, so the silence shouldn't be unexpected.
akudha•13m ago
But there are lots of boring business applications of IDP, right? Invoice parsing, open data PDF parsing (from data.gov for example) and so on? Not sure about national security implications here
Kevin_Flynn•11m ago
Plenty of business applications, absolutely.

I only meant to say, that a specialist in this area, is likely to work for a government, or have government clients, and is likely to remain quiet.

Lots of open source tools abound of course, which are all fair game, so maybe reword the question and drop the association to the intelligence community, and create an association to open source tools ?

Ah ok, understood. Thank you
