Author here. I've built this tool to avoid using "per site" mics. This basically allows me to "text to speech" anything on my Windows machine. Also, I really care about privacy. Not great for now is that polishing needs cloud model. What surprised me is that GPU is basically sitting idle while Parakeet runs on CPU basically 21 seconds of speech in about a second! But this is my gaming rig, so if anyone is running on some old laptop I would like to see numbers!
