I think this is one of the worst most dangerous aspects of social media: that historicity is constantly obliviated, destroyed, amid the snake-eatting-its-tale endless churn of the stream, the feed. We don't see back, we don't have views behind of who is coming to us across our feeds. Each tweet is a new chance to land to a forgetting world that won't have the context of what you did before, what lies and bullshit you made in the past.
The process of forgetting has never been worse. We slumber on, deeper asleep than ever.
And in politics the alt-right has descended into a complete alt-reality, an imagined slopinarium of pretend. Oh it's so bad. And they just lie and lie!

Deep fan of Olufemi O Taiwo, who has two recurring messages, "bring back shame" and "to keep functioning, society must discourage baldfaced lying, especially by authorities". Yeah. We in trouble, if this is allowed level of anti-discourse, anti-social anti-reality viciousness. https://bsky.app/profile/olufemiotaiwo.bsky.social/post/3myp... https://bsky.app/profile/olufemiotaiwo.bsky.social/post/3mxz...
