I know many have been posted in here, but I just wanted to share CalibRaw too. V1.4.0 was just released and includes many improvements. CalibRaw focues on performance and performance, not UI focused.
I'm a photographer, and i built it over the last 3 months because the existing alternatives didn't work for me. The performance was bad, the processing didn't match what I'm used to, or they where just buggy. Darktable is very cool software, but I just wasn't able to work with it.
What it does:
- Lightroom-style develop panels: light, tone curve, color mixer, color grading, detail, optics and masks
- Optional AI masks (subject, sky, depth, ...) that run locally on your device
- Advanced masking workflow
- Non-destructive: edits live in sidecar files and your originals are never touched
- GPU-accelerated, written in Rust with wgpu, not a web app
- Android app using the same engine as the desktop app
- Effects like glow, fog, relight and more :D
A lot of the processing math is ported or adapted from darktable, and I'm very grateful to its developers. I've been using it for the last 3 months constantly improving it.
I'd really appreciate feedback on how the workflow feels, and what could be improved.
