I have loved the clean aesthetic of monkeytype but have always wanted to be able to race my friends on the site. While they do have a feature called Tribe, it has been in development for 6 years https://github.com/monkeytypegame/monkeytype/issues/255, and I got tired of waiting.

MT Ranked not only lets you create a private room to play your friends, but it also adds a competitive ranked mode where you play another person of a similar skill level to you in order to gain ELO.
