I wanted a minimal UI to steer and run coding agents from my many, many computers/VMs. Cosyra is an iOS and Android app plus a small CLI for your Mac or Linux box.
How it works:
- `curl -fsSL https://cosyra.com/install.sh | bash` installs one binary to ~/.local/bin.
- `cosyra remote start` shows a QR code or a pairing code. You scan or type it in the app, then confirm the matching number on the computer. There's no sign-in on the computer itself.
- Terminals are tmux sessions (tmux 3.3+). If you run herdr, its terminals show up too. (Rex and herdr-core coming soon!)
- Terminal traffic is end-to-end encrypted, so our servers can't read it. The phone's identity key lives in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore and never leaves the device. The computer's key is an owner-only file, similar to an SSH key. Every session uses fresh ephemeral keys for forward secrecy.
- The phone gets a terminal and a chat view. Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode and more all usable from both. Uses your existing subscriptions. I do not resell tokens.
- On a Mac it also streams the iOS Simulator to the phone.
Tradeoffs: the computer has to be on, so Cosyra will keep it awake while remote control is running. You need the app and a Cosyra account to pair.
Pairing your own machines is free. There's an optional hosted cloud workspace (Core $20/mo, Pro $30/mo) for when you don't want to leave a computer on or if you need extra compute on the fly.
Almost all of it was built with Claude Code and Codex. The long-term goal is shipping software 0 to 100 from the phone. I am currently drinking the koolaid and living the lifestyle and 3 days a week I do not touch my computer except to make sure it's powered on.
I'd like to hear whether you can envision a future where you only use your computer for leisure and games and not for steering agents. Also, I emphasized the smoothness and premium feel of the app, so I appreciate any criticisms or suggestions in that area.
