A progressive understanding of Christianity won in the US elections

Read the first four paragraphs, re-read the first, then think about the media's criteria for publishing stories about Christianity over the past half-ish century.

I live in a rather progressive, liberal part of the US - where the local churches serve free meals to the needy 365 days a year, house and support homeless families, and more. But unless you're an insider, you'd never know those things existed. Vs. any serious crime, scandal, or angry denunciation that can be linked to a church is for-sure headline material.

From the PoV of corporate media profitability, the situation is very nicely optimized.

From the PoV of caring about human beings, or our society having a future which the 99% would want to live in...not so much.
