Hey HN. I quickly built this (vibe coded mostly) tool to help people trying to capture their iPhone or iPad app. It solves two main problems with the movie capture built into Quicktime
1. The framerate is constant and plays nicer with NLEs like Davinci Resolve (I was getting warped audio and bizarre framerate problems in my edits)
2. If you are the creator of an app, you can include the framework in your debug builds that captures all touches, pencil input and keyboard commands.
I needed something to create tutorials for my app. I wanted to capture the touches and pencil input but I didn't want to bake that into the capture (in case I want to selectively remove it.) It also makes multiple takes easier and some niceties like selecting audio channel and showing the last frame of your previous take to reset.
This also includes an OFX plugin that lets you render the data from that sidecar and change the color or size of touches and pencil input.
Without the framework, it can still record the screen, just not the touches.

Hope this helps someone!
