  The real question is not 'Why is Bluesky so left-coded,' the real question is 'Why can't the right exist in a social media environment without algorithmic assistance, where people can ignore them'"
The idea that right-wing views only exist because of algorithmic assistance is incorrect. Any online space without explicit censorship will inevitably over time become (at least in part) right wing. X became right wing, not because Elon tuned the algorithms, but because he unbanned a ton of right-wing people whose views people (including myself) find worth listening to.

Generally, the article's idea that there is a single force from Washington to Beijing through Moscow, involving Big Tech, etc. to conspire against Western European, left-wing liberalism, is simply a way of not acknowledging the reality that this viewpoint is indeed largely a minority view, including increasingly in Western Europe...
