I should read a book on Go.

If you have never written any Go before, the tour is probably the first starting point: https://go.dev/tour/welcome/1

Is the image ai slop?

Generated by ChatGPT, judging by the piss tinge.
silvester23•1h ago
Kind of off topic but I don't understand the reading time. It says "7.8h 48m". What does that even mean?
fabioborellini•1h ago
The total time is 7.8 hours, so 7 hours 48 minutes. A wrong format string with decimal hours instead of full hours?

With this kind of attention to detail I would not purchase anything.

$24.99 for everything that available in Golang document? Base on the image, how many percent of the book written by AI?

Can't imagine this being better than Effective Go: https://go.dev/doc/effective_go
SCdF•1h ago
It's not clear why this is being upvoted.

There is not a sample chapter to check, the two authors own the website and appear to be just some developers who know go, and frankly the cover looks AI generated.

As a go developer, why am I supposed to care about this?
