At first this sounds horrible, but it’s focused solely on issues related to regulatory compliance. For a financial institution that’s actually quite sensible.

Same. Headline gives a bit of a shock at first, but reading into it it kind of sounds brilliant.

Everyone works together to keep compliance up, and everyone wins. An independent contributor can't go rogue without tanking the team's metrics.

Yeah, I read that title and thought Yuck, wouldn't wanna work there .. But compliance makes or breaks these companies so in that sense its justified

if the team is large enough to offset/average out the puely evil conduct of one member who "gets the job done", and boosts other performance metrics, then it's right back to gameing, the game
