Now that I'm doing DevOps mostly these days, I wanted to at least put my experience from the Network Engineering days to some use. One thing I noticed constantly is that basic networking knowledge is lacking in otherwise great engineers more often than I'd like to see. Therefore, this is my attempt at an introduction article that aims to be accessible to everyone :)
