Yahoo Mail vs. Gmail: Which should you use?

My personal gmail is at 92% of storage and google is nagging me to get a paid account. That aint gonna happen.

When I signed up, they promised unlimited storage. They reneged. Why would I trust them now?

So it's fastmail or proton if I'm paying.

Or, I'm quite tempted to do this:

Why would you expect it to be unlimited?

It’s on your side.

Google promised it. See below.

But you're right. It's on me. Thanks for reply. It has really motivated me to move away from gmail. I'll keep it as a burner account.

What irritates me is the Silicon Valley culture of greed and lying. They promised free storage to undercut competitors. When the competitors are diven out of business, they start charging.

And I know that if I pay, I still won't have access to any support, unlike fastmail, which I have used on various projects.

And... gmail doesn't provide any mass delete tools, so it's not actually about storage.

Which one has better user/technical support, including account recovery? This comparison didn't discuss it.

I have used fastmail on various projects, and support was always prompt and from a real person. So I will probably go with them. I haven't used proton.
