I remember spending most of my week fighting spam, patching MTAs, and managing virus definitions. Running on-prem email felt like a second job. Props to anyone still maintaining mail infrastructure. Unfortunately the human at the end is still the weakest link. The cloud didn’t make it simple, just easier to forget how complex it really is.
